Installing the Win32s Upgrade

1. Create an empty directory on your hard drive.

2. Download the file to that directory using your browser or ftp program.

3. Use DOS (windowed DOS session, or from a DOS boot) to move to that directory and at the command prompt, type the following and press ENTER to decompress the files there;

4. Run Windows and start the File Manager.

5. Open the Install directory (the directory created in step 1 of the setup instructions above).

6. Double-click Setup.exe. The setup program installs Win32s and restarts the system to update the system files. Win32s is now installed (or upgraded if previously installed) on your system, and any obsolete Win32s files have been removed.

4. Delete the Install directory and its contents.
Keep a copy of the installer file (PW1118.EXE) if possible in case you need it again.

5. Optional: To verify that the upgrade was successful try running the included Win32 application Freecell.
